Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Letters and Papers from Prison : A Biography

I’ve just come across this fascinating interview with Martin Marty who recently appeared at the Chicago Tribune Printers Row Lit Fest to talk about his book, “Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s ‘Letters and Papers from Prison’: A Biography.”   Marty was in discussion with Owen Youngman, professor of Digital Media Strategy at Northwestern University’s Medill School.

There are a number of biographies of Bonhoeffer, but this book is completely different – Marty charts the life of Bonhoeffer’s book and the impact it has had and how this has changed over time.

Marty’s book is part of a new series produced by Princeton University Press.  The others, which are available at the moment, include Augustine’s Confessions: A Biography. G.
