‘I Forget You are Suffering’

Although as Hemingway noted, suffering can often go unnoticed by those around us. But that is only part of the story, and perhaps the least important part of all.  That God notices, and helps us to re-orientate and widen our perspective, is brought into sharp focus in Isaiah 43:2 –  ‘When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.’

  1. I was talking to my nurse a short while ago. I told her l was feeling sad and depressed for some unknown reason.
I opened my email after she left only to find your email. It was as if God was relieving me of the sadness and depression l was feeling.

I felt the release of my pain and the refreshment of the word of God. A healing ointment. Those words were there for me today because our Lord so willed it.

You were God’s instrument. Thank you Scott. However all thanks and praiae belongs too Our Heavenly Father.

    Yours in Christ

  2. Very encouraging. Misery loves company. Not to show condescending pity, but to show refreshing empathy.
